Policy
Facilities
Management is an organization composed of professional men and women
representing many different trades and disciplines. Employees are expected to dress in
an appropriate manner, using good taste and consideration for the nature of the
work to be performed, the work environment for each day, and the people
whom one will be in contact with during the conduct of the day's work.
Implementation
The following is provided for guidance:
-
Each Friday will be a "Casual
Dress Day."
-
Casual means informal, comfortable
and clean. Personnel that normally do not wear a uniform may
dress in accordance with the anticipated day's work. (When not meeting
the public or attending management level meetings, men with open collar
shirt and slacks and women with tasteful and appropriate casual wear).
-
Casual does not mean unkempt, dirty,
ragged or revealing. Both women and men must maintain appropriate
propriety in the fit and cut of clothing.
Directors and senior managers will be
passing this guidance to all employees, and will be required to
closely monitor the progress to contribute to the success of this program.
