Management Employee Council
The Facilities Management Employee
Council is intended to foster communication among Facilities
Management employees and provide a forum for presenting general
employee-related concerns. The Council is governed by
Facilities Management Directive 102G and our FP&C representative on
the Council for the 2004-2006 term is
Julie Garmel from our Contract Administration Division. E-mail her
by clicking on her name or give her a call at 982-5361.
Background
Communications is essential to the
success of all organizations, especially one that is as large and
diverse as Facilities Management. Our challenge is to
identify strategies that promote and enhance communication at all
levels. The Facilities Management Employee council is a key and
essential mechanism for providing a forum that fosters communication.
Procedure
The Employee Council functions as
a channel for receiving and discussing employee ideas for improving
relations and generally enhancing the University work environment.
The resolution of specific personal concerns is not the responsibility
of the Council. The Council meets the last Thursday of each month
in the upper level conference room at the Leake Building, Facilities
Management. If you have any concerns Council should address, you
should contact Julie Minutes of the Council meetings are
available on the web at
