The new entrance to the University of Virginia’s College at Wise is designed to introduce college guests and the community to the College by creating an impressive welcoming experience upon entering and arriving on campus.

The New Front Entry project was closely coordinated with the concurrent Crockett Hall renovation. The project includes an entrance road, signage, landscaping, lighting and parking lot improvements. The primary goal of the project is to create an iconic and attractive roadway entrance to the campus. In conjunction with the landscape design, the team considered handicap accessibility, storm water management, preservation of existing vegetation and rock outcroppings, pedestrian paths and street furniture.
