This directorate was established to complete the
construction of the Rouss Hall Renovation and Expansion
project. It includes the renovation of 23,000 gsf of the
existing historic Rouss Hall and the new construction of 125,000
gsf of the McIntire School expansion. The completed
facility houses the McIntire School of Commerce and
includes classrooms, faculty offices, and all of the
support facilities required by this highly ranked

A very complicated and careful excavation process
created the footprint for the new construction while
protecting the historic Rouss building.
The renovation of and addition to Rouss Hall has resulted
in an expansion to the east with an added foot print of
41,000 square feet and an increased interior space of
120,000 square feet. The current building was
constructed in 1896.
