DESIGN INFORUM 99
Our third
Inforum, and the second Design Inforum, was held at the University's
Student Activities Building on June 30, 1999. Facilities Planning & Construction staff discussed construction and project management
issues with 237 attendees; 196 being representatives from 109
Virginia-based architectural and engineering firms and 41 from 25
out-of-state firms. Once again the informal forum setting gave firms
an opportunity to meet FP&C staff, market their abilities and learn
more about how to be selected for design work at UVA. INFORUM also
provided an opportunity to meet old friends as well as to make new
ones. Attendees were also able to use the INFORUM as an opportunity
to "network" with others. The other events of this type to be hosted
by FP&C were Design Inforum 98 and Construction Inforum 99.
